To prepare, see the LINK above ~ then contact Kristin FIRST . . . to discuss what you may have in mind . . . and to discuss whether the story would be of interest to readers of The Star. If a story doesn’t fit Kristin’s editorial plans . . . this “Preflight Check” may save the writer (and the Editor) a lot of time.

If a story seems PROMISING, Kristin can guide the writer to the more DETAILED story development and perparation descriptions (see the LINK above . . . as a means of understanding word limits, graphic resources, necessary photo resolutions, the need for photo captions, issue deadlines, etc. The idea being to reduce spinning wheels . . . and to reduce the complexity of story “development” for both the Writer and the Editor. Also saving time – by adding focus.
