Veterans Day is coming and the media is looking for stories. They especially appreciate local stories so it's a good time to tell them about yourself, your father and AWON. I suggest that you take this opportunity even if you're not going to the conference. Help spread the word about AWON!

Please send the news release to your local TV, radio and newspapers. Put your own name and phone number as contact information on the news release. Do not send it to a website, it will not be picked up. It works best to call ahead and have the name of someone specific to send it to. Call the main number at one of the media outlets and ask for a reporter in "Metro" or "City", Events or Veterans or Military affairs. You can usually find them with an email address listed on their website. It works to send the news release to an email address too.

Be ready to tell your story and to talk about AWON!
