Patty Temte organized a lunch for south Texas AWON members to get to know one another Mary, Sandra and Maria drove from Austin to join the three from San Antonio who attended. For Mary Nichols and Sandra Schmidt, it was the first time for them to meet other war orphans. It was a gorgeous fall day, we sat outside, discussed our fathers, and shared information. Conrad brought a copy of his "baby", his newly published book, "Delayed Legacy."
