I would like a picture of my uncles grave a William F. Watts, killed January 8, 1945 in the South Pacific.

What does the navy do for the navy saliors that are buried at sea on Memorial Day?

I am posting this for my Mother and her family. We are looking for information about William Northrup. He is resting in Lorraine Cemetery in Germany. How can we go about finding where he was killed? We also would like infromation on sites that may put us in contact with people he served with. As his children were young and do not have many memories of him. Any help would be a blessing to us. Thank you, Tina

To find out if your Father is buried or memorialized in one of the American Military Cemeteries overseas, go to the website of the ABMC (American Battle Monuments Commission):

The American Battle Monument in Manila is the largest of the American overseas cemeteries. There are approx. 17,000 graves and 35,000 men and women commemorated on the walls. It is located in the heart of the city now.Pacific battles are detailed in mosaic maps. The grounds are beautifully kept, crosses are of white marble.Upon request the staff will send you a picture of a specific memorial or grave.Flowers may be ordered as well.
