Sgt Takara was killed on November 1, 1944 in the crash of a medical evacuation flight near St. Chamond, France. He was with Co. B, 442 Inf. He is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. A memorial exists at the site of the crash and I'm looking for relatives. A ceremony is held each year to honor those killed. |
