Thanks to the information on this web site I have been able to find out important information about my Uncle 1st Lt. William Robert Roycraft (Bob) who was shot down after dropping his paratrooper over St Mere Eglise on June 6th '44. I am now interested in contacting any family members of his crew or of the paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne 508 Parachute Infantry. The 1st Lt in charge of that group was George D. Lamm. Other members of the flight crew were, Robert F Shipley, Walter R. Romney, Martin R Schumacher, and Roy W. Geyer. Peggy Moore |
