I am searching for information on my uncle, Melvin Harris, who served in the USMC during WW II. I believe that he was in the 4th Division and was a member of a .50 caliber machine gun crew. I also believe that he was killed on, or shortly after, Iwo Jima. His widow and daughter moved to Arizona long before I was born and I have not been able to locate them. I have some nice photos of Uncle Melvin and want to know more about his service. His little brother, my father, flew 28 missions over Germany as a B-17 pilot.
