Memorial Day 2005 – at Henri-Chapelle

Bernard Achten, one of AWON's Belgian Ambassadors, and the
originator of the AWON Wreath Laying concept, waits with the
wreath prior to the Memorial Day ceremonies at Henri-Chapelle.

A long shot awaiting the Henri-Chapelle services.

American Cemetery – that is the resting place of 7,992 Americans –
and the memorial for another 450 missing of World War II.

Many thanks for the beautiful wreath go to the florist, Aubel Fleurs!

In Their Memory

Thanks to Belgian Ambassadors Régine and Bernard Achten (who originated
the
concept) for the actual presentation of the wreath and all the photos --
and to stateside coordinator Rik Peirson for the arrangements.
