Keokuk National Cemetery is the only National Cemetery in Iowa.
This is the area where many World War II casualties are buried.

Harkin of Iowa speaks of 2LT Delmer Eugene Switzer,
Father of Nancy
Switzer Bartlett.
Senator Harkin
presents numerous medals earned by 2LT Switzer to his Daughter.
He has helped
obtain medals in more than a hundred different cases.
The medals for
2LT Switzer include: the Purple Heart with an oak leaf cluster, Bronze Star
with an
oak leaf cluster,
Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Medal, and Freedom of Speech Medal.
Nancy Switzer
Bartless accepts the medals from Senator Harkin on behalf of her Father,
who served in the 302nd SQ 441st TRP CR GP AF, and who died on March 24, 1945,
near Wesel, Germany, when Nancy was just six months old.
Nancy gave special
thanks to Senator Harkin, to AWON, and to the National
Glider Pilots Association for help in securing her Father's medals.
2LT Switzer is buried at Margraten.
