September 12, 2003

On Friday, September 12, 2003, two National Guardsmen and recent returnees from service in Iraq,
CW3 Stan Caldwell and CW2 Dennis Osborne met with the President of the United States.

Stan Caldwell (son of AWONer Adrian Caldwell) shook hands with President Bush in Jackson, Mississippi.

Stan and his partner, Dennis, both from the Mississippi Army National Guard, were instrumental in the successful attack
on the sons of Sadaam Hussein. President Bush spent more time talking with Stan and Dennis than with anyone
else at the event. Stan and Dennis were then invited to address the luncheon, which included Senator Trent Lott
and high-ranking military personnel. President Bush presented them with a Presidential Commemorative Coin
bearing the seal of the President of the United States. When he gave them the coin, he said,
"This is reserved for heroes."
