My father, Floyd Booth served in the USN in WW2. On occasion he would joke that he wouldn't want to throw a rock in Australia for fear of hitting one of his kids. I took that to mean that he jokingly suspected that he may have fathered one or more children there. If I have any half-siblings down under, I would love to connect and let you know about our dad.

I'm doing some resarch for my mum trying to find her biological father, an american GI in WW2. He was stationed in Germany, Erfurt or near Erfurt in 1947, where he met Martha, my grandma. My mum was born in October 1947 and shortly after he must have left Germany without leaving any rememberings. My grandma was at the time 27 years young, beautiful woman, and kept silent about the matter until she died.
