Hello from New Zealand,

No... Iím not looking for a GI Dad. Iím seeking a brother, the son of my dad who had a liaison with an American Military or Red Cross nurse during the 1942 - 1944 era. US troops were on R n R from the Pacific campaign at the time in our home town of Pukekohe, south of Auckland.. I have no way of identifying this nurse. However, the child in question, as a young man made an attempt to call and speak to my dad (Ben Thompson). He was put off by my mother... sadly. He would probably now be in his early 70s..

Are you in a position to advise where I might ascertain information that would help me to find and identify this nurse?Or any info at all that might lead me and my family to discovering our lost brother.

We would welcome any assistance you are able to render . I have included a picture of my dad... I hope it will help. A miracle is needed here, I believe!

Thank you in advance .

My father Donald clough Haynes was in the navy at age seventeen which was 1948. My dad doesn't say nothing about it . I know they would go on weekend leave in Japan. Which is where I have a half brother. His mom was Japanese and her nickname was two nickels. Now I'm not sure if that was her "working"name or whatever but my brother should be about sixty three. If anyone knew my dad or knows how to see what ship he was on so I can get some information that would be great, thank you in advance

I'm doing some resarch for my mum trying to find her biological father, an american GI in WW2. He was stationed in Germany, Erfurt or near Erfurt in 1947, where he met Martha, my grandma. My mum was born in October 1947 and shortly after he must have left Germany without leaving any rememberings. My grandma was at the time 27 years young, beautiful woman, and kept silent about the matter until she died.

I am searching for the children of two sisters who lived in London during WWII. One of the sisters was mixed race because her father was a black GI from WWI the other sister was white. One of these sisters was named Joyce. They used to go to Burton on Trent to visit two African American GIs camped there. One of them had at least one child with my father. The child's name I believe was Iris, born London possibly 1943.
