1LT SURTEES THERRELL L IS MY UNCLE AND I REMEMBER
WHEN HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION DURING WORLD WAR II.

HIS BODY WAS BROUGHT BACK FROM EUROPE AFTER THE WAR AND IS BURIED IN THE SURTEES PLOT AT THE MISSION CEMETERY IN SOUTH SAN ANTONIO ON LOOP 13.
