My grandfather was KIA somewhere in France/Belgium in September 1944. I believe it might have been in Aachen or Antwerp. His name is Garland McCue Vogler. He would have been about 36 years old. I know he was Army and I have the flag from his funeral service.His body and paperwork were lost for two years before being found and brought back to be buried in Winston-Salem, NC. Family members who might have known information about what unit he was with or the circumstances of his death have passed on. Anyone who might have known him or of him, please let me know.
