The Albanis and Peirsons did a mission to The Wall and to its associated memorials.

Dick and Ric Albani and Lindsey Peirson enter the cut near end of the names.

 

The Wall shows in black granite the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who died in Vietnam.
The almost 494 foot Wall was designed by a then Yale Architecture student, Maya Ying Lin,
and was dedicated November 13, 1982.

 

Rik remembers CPT Wayne K. Schaltenbrand. KIA in May, 1969.

 

The Three Servicemen Statue includes the emblems of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.
The 18 foot bronze by Frederick Hart was dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 1984.

 

The Vietnam Women's Memorial was sculpted by Glenna Goodacre.
It is surrounded by eight yellowwood trees representing the eight women nurses killed in Vietnam,
and was dedicated over Veterans Day weekend, November 10-12, 1993.
