Here's a miscellany of DC adventures:
Penny LeGrand and Patty Temte pose with two Army Air Corps veterans at the Korean War Memorial.
Joey Tartell, son of Judy Hoffman,
plays a solo at the Smithsonian Institution Hall of Flags,
after the dedication of the Memorial on Saturday. The Smithsonian Band played
a concert of tunes
from the WWII era. The Flag behind the band is the one which flew over the
Pentagon on 9/11/01.
The National Memorial Concert
at the Capitol on Sunday, May30th
was attended by Sean and Patricia
Fabri. Tom Hanks was the M.C.
Renee Cooley, sister of Sharon
Crowley Edwards and Peter Epsha, husband of
First-Timer Judy Peltier Epsha,
pose in front of the White House on Sunday, May 30th.
AWONer Shirley McKinney organized
a White House Tour on Tuesday, June 1st.
During the tour, one group met Barney, the First Dog!
