Granddaughter of AM Jacob Elijah Ricketson.

 

Kathleen Linville Black, daughter of Susan Nichols Linville and
Granddaughter of 1LT James Fred Nichols, Jr.

 

Then the umbrellas went up as the sky opened, with what we
all decided must be tears from heaven.

 

Bonnie Berry Grant, daughter of Chickie Shields Berry
(who led the WWII Memorial Fundraising effort for AWON)
and Granddaughter of CWO John Coleman Shields.

 

Lisa Fenstermacher Bobyak, daughter of Maggie Stein Fenstermacher
and Grandaughter of PVT Russell D. Stein.

 

Rollie Otte, husband of AWONer Mary Ann Lazio Otte plays a beautiful rendition of taps –
in the pouring rain.

Robin Berry, daughter of Chickie Shields Berry, then led us in singing "I'll be Seeing you" –
and even in the rain, we sensed a feeling of accomplishment in honoring the memories
of these men who gave us all so much.
