The premise of this page is that in many cases, our Fathers' buddies knew them better
than almost anyone – during induction, training, and deployment, and throughout their service.
Some as yet unidentified buddy may have been with him when he was killed.

The Branson Veterans Task Force maintains a growing databse of 61,000 veterans
by Unit of Service. This means that if you know your Father's Unit -- (the more well-defined
the better) the BVTF MAY be able to locate UNIT buddies who knew your Father.

Send in the special form (see the link below) -- and see what happens.

The Task Force finds and registers Veterans in the database wherever veterans
can be found. So many Unit and Branch reunions happen in Branson, it has become
one of the main sources of registrants -- some of whom may have known your Father
and have been waiting to tell his story. Remember, their registration with the BVTF
implies a willingness to be "found," for the purpose of sharing information.

Here's How the process works:

As we can understand, the Branson Veterans Task Force can't release the names
of its registrants. But what it can do – and does do – is let their registrants know about you.

Free of charge for AWON members (and others, of course) the BVTF will search its database
for registrants who served in your Father's Unit, in his Squadron, or on his ship. The BVTF
will then contact each one on your behalf, providing the contact information you supply.

Registrants will have the opportunity to contact you directly. Use the Request Form below to submit
your Father's service information – and who knows? Overturning this stone might produce NO buddies
or registrants in the database (this time around). Or, you could be in for the surprise of your life.

The BVTF helped develop the Request Form (link below) – specifically
designed to streamline BVTF response to requests from AWON members.
