AWON member, Victoria Adams and her sisters, Maxine Politi and Diosa Law, visited St. Avold, France and the resting place of their father, Maximiliano Secundino Ramirez, who died in the Forest of Gremecy. At the time of his death, Victoria was 3 years old, Diosa was 9 months old, and Maxine was born 5 months later.

The sisters meet Jerome Leclerc who is a member of Espace de Memoire 1939-1945. Jerome, with his associates, escorted them from the cemetery to the Forest of Gremecy, where Victoria's father was killed. Victoria writes, "Their kindness, generosity and commitment to our cause will never be forgotten."

 

Victoria and her sisters meet Andree Chippon a member of Espace de Memoire 1939-1945. She and the other members drove an hour to meet the family and another hour from the cemetery to the Forest of Gremecy.
